About Sure to Surprise You Hiring services?
We will hire any of Sure to Surprise You’s hiring products to anyone, anywhere in mainland UK! Our products have been hired for weddings, christenings, funerals, birthdays – but whatever your function we will be more than happy to hire to you. A lot of the items are also perfect for photo shoots.

Our items are priced at a 3 day hire period but can be hired for longer if you wish at an additional cost. The minimum order is £20.

When checking your delivery please state if you see any problems and we will rectify it as soon as possible. If you tell us after you have checked and signed for it then we cannot guarantee that we can put right the issue.

Generally we deliver and collect from your venue but of course we are more than happy to be flexible and work with you. For delivery and collection there must be someone there to sign for and check the items delivered/collected. If the items are not checked and signed upon delivery then they will be deemed in a clean and correct condition.

We are very happy for you to collect your crockery and accessories from the address stipulated at the time of your order, therefore avoiding any delivery or collection charges. However if you do prefer for us to deliver and collect the goods for you we charge 45p per mile. We are more than happy to deliver anywhere in mainland UK and will always keep the charges to a minimum when possible.

Wash Hire…
All our crockery and cutlery come with an optional wash hire facility. We can wash your items for an additional charge of 40% of your total crockery, cutlery and glassware orderPlease note that our vintage crockery is not suitable for a dishwasher and it must be washed by hand. You are more than welcome to wash the items yourself however everything including the boxes must be washed in addition glasses and cutlery must be polished.

Breakages, Shortages or Damages…
All our items are packed carefully and must be returned to us in the same packaging and boxes that delivered/collected from us. The crockery is obviously fragile and will need extra care during packaging or washing.

If you break or lose an item of crockery, cutlery, glassware etc we will send you and invoice for the items. Each vintage item broken is generally 4 times the hiring price - i.e 1 3 tiered cake stand is £5 to hire therefore £20 to replace. All other items will be charged at cost price.

All our boxes are stickered and must come back to us - any boxes and lids that are not returned will be charged at £5(smal cutlery box)-£15 (red/brown crockery boxes) per box.

Why pick us?!
Without blowing our own horn to much…we have exceptional customer service, gorgeous vintage crockery, lovely table decorations and a huge range of other items that will add that extra finishing touches to any event. All our products are handpicked and as much as possible we can cater for any bespoke occasion and order. This is not a ‘hobby’ for us and we love doing this as our job! All our prices are very competitive and we do our best to have special offers throughout the year and continue to obtain new and interesting products for our customers. Nothing is too much trouble and we will be on hand to help you with all your questions and any problems that may arise.

How soon do I need to make a booking?
As soon as possible. We are extremely busy and we'd hate you to be disappointed as availability is quickly booked up. If you want to guarantee your date, book as soon as you can. We can always hold the date for 10 days whilst you finalise arrangements if need be.

To Book
All you need to do is contact us at info@suretosurpriseyou.co.uk and we will talk you through our booking process and your requirements for the day – it’s that easy!

Once booked

To book your date we require a non-refundable deposit of your final order. The balance will then be paid 14 days prior to your event taking place.

If you have to cancel your order we will keep the non-refundable deposit but you will not need to pay any more. If the booking is cancelled within 30 days of your booking we will require 75% of the full payment. If you cancel within 14 days of your booking we will need the full payment.
